Transits to Prism Our Attention ~ 15 Aug 2020

Of late, it sort of feels like this amazing photograph of the Perseid Meteor shower, doesn’t it? It’s a little bit this way; a little bit that way, a lot of tugging in directions not expected and oblique. Unanticipated comings and goings. Steps forward, steps back, steps askance. Many thanks yet again to Dennis Taylor of ShutterVita again for his amazing sky capture and presenting a clear representation of how it feels out there! Is it possible to put a prism to the ping pong perception of the time? Yes, indeed, it is. In just over a week a serious dose of this and that, back and forth settle in courtesy of transits from the Sun, Venus and Mars to the nearest dwarf planet, Ceres, the gorgeous gaseous giants, Jupiter and Saturn, and the distant dwarf planets, Pluto and Gonggong. It’s an array of awareness, a cluster of coalescing consciousness and a plan for drilling down to unearth major strides of progress.

This array of focusing planetary support takes us through the end of August - a potent fortnight ahead in which sharp awareness and crystal instincts are summoned. The transits serve as a prism focusing all the available light into a powerful representation of how it is, and from that a determination of what your carpe may diem.

23 Aug: Mars in Aries square Saturn in Capricorn

Traditional astrology typically bad mouths this transit proclaiming nothing good can come of it. Rejections are normal. Delays are certain. You might as well pull the covers over your head in bed. If you take that approach, make sure the webcam you use in your bedroom is properly covered! To all this negative analysis of the Mars transit to Saturn I call Harry Potter Hogwart Hogwash!

Here’s the essence of this transit...

Show up early (if you’re not 15 minutes early, you are late), work hard with a bust your buns mindset, get yourself noticed and graciously receive the benefits of your hard work and when you get promoted take time to savor the success and enjoy some well-earned satisfaction.

24 Aug: Venus in Cancer opposing Icarus, Jupiter in Capricorn

Looks like this transit requires some expenses or perhaps additional resources that might need to be acquired to accomplish tasks at hand and pursue lofty goals. Keep expenditures reasonable and more or less comfortably in bounds within your means. Allow for contingencies. Know what is too much and when enough is enough.

When bidding for a job, keep in mind it would be easy to price yourself out of consideration. As you put out your first offer, consider that the receiving party will consider what you want, what they have budgeted and if the time and energy to attempt a compromise is worth it. Within this pattern, more than likely the other party’s patience stands easy to exceed.

Still, to fly high, as high as practical, a clear sense of personal inner value adds to the lift. So, take time to document your personal, intangible resources as well as tangible assets.

26 Aug: Sun in Virgo opposite Gonggong in Pisces

Well, China’s in the news again. Presumably the deal with Mexico to provide two COVID-19 vaccines will get more attention. The President will be saying things about China in response to their recent sanctions, criticize them, and issue his own directives.

What might feel justified in reaction is not at all what best serves this transit. This is a full-on compassion and empathy zone. Sure the Virgo energy can be scrutinizing; better to find the hows and whys of situations and circumstances that you encounter prior to making conclusions and offering opinions. This method avoids unnecessary confrontation and less than ideal results of uber subjective assessments.

Think of it this way: What can a water god and a fire god do that’s productive instead of battle? We know that knocks the world off its axis and redirects rivers. Why not combine natural elements and make steam... one of the most powerful propellants known. When steamed, apply the steam in ways that serve the big picture. To do this, a non-defensive mindset must be in place.

Keep in mind when people ask pointed questions regarding your plans and platforms, they might only need more information. They’re not necessarily out to tear you a new one!

Big picture consciousness permits smooth navigation of any elemental force encountered. That’s the ticket!

27 Aug: Sun in Virgo opposite Ceres in Pisces

There’s the Sun in Virgo ruling the classical northern hemisphere harvest; there’s Ceres ruling the grains in general. And there’s Ceres in Pisces with the “cast your loaves upon the waters to see if their return can be multiplied” theme to the time. Bounty is implied.

Bounty is implied for those on the high road performing life with impeccability. Advocate for the downtrodden. Take time to savor opportunity and benefit. A generous, tithing spirit goes a long way in such a time. Tithing must be full-hearted, giving to honor compassionate urges. It is not a means of securing a righteous position or a place in Heaven.

29 Aug Venus in Cancer opposed Pluto in Capricorn

You gotta spend money to make money. Consider all the resources required to fulfill your passions without limitation. How do you get what you need? This transit suggests that borrowing - within your means - is not a sin. Using the resources and skills of others is a good thing when alignment of cause organically appears.

Clear priorities and intentions must be set for all acquisitions pursued. Pluto knows who’s nice and who’s not. He rewards mortals who attract his favor with powerful, and deliberate intentions.

This is a “plutocrats need not apply” zone.

01 Sep Venus in Cancer opposing Saturn in Capricorn

There’s a little knee jerk here coming off the transit two days before... should I have done that? Spent that? Applied for that loan? It’s a waste of time to review. Instead carefully assess where you are, where you want to go and plot out everything required, in the wake of what you might have done. Evaluate money, time, and most important, the energy output necessary to get where you need to go.

If the Mars and Venus triggers to Saturn and Pluto that preceded stand out as well-executed transits, no need to fret. This is a time of reward and fulfillment.

Should a lack of execution or the need for swift action be deemed necessary, get on with it. There’s still time to make hay. But get moving. Mars soon retrogrades and Jupiter soon turns direct. Plotting, planning and performing set the stage for even more potential gains ahead.

Yes, there is something to be made of 2020 yet.

More soon.
